Admission Procedure
The simple and transparent admission process at Don Bosco comprises a conventional written assessment followed by a personal interaction between parents / authorized guardians, the prospective student and the school’s authorized representatives. The process will give an insight into the type of educational approach and environment the school provides the child to maximize his/her potential, while giving also a glimpse of the child’s strengths, learning needs and potential.
Don Bosco Central School, Kattappana is a reputed institute of education inspired by the educational mission of the Salesian Congregation. This Co – educational institution is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Examinations, New Delhi and the students are enrolled for the AISSE/AIISSCE examinations
The school assures our students excellence in academics and their physical, social, emotional and spiritual empowerment. It is open to all good and earnest students. Admission will be granted to all classes except KG, only after a written test and an interview and according to the age limit prescribed below.
KG Admission
Criteria regarding age limit
As per government rules, a student seeking admission in LKG has to complete 3½ to 4 ½ years as on 31st May, 2023.
Selection Criteria 1
Admission is granted on the basis of a personal interaction with the parents and the young learner.
Admission to Classes I – VIII: Based on the performance in the admission test in English, Mathematics and GK followed by an interaction with the Principal.
Admission to XI Std: Conditioned by the grades in the assessments of Classes IX and X in the First Term and Pre – Board examinations followed by an interaction with the Principal.
Points to remember
- The Transfer Certificate and Progress Card should be produced at admission.
- Incomplete forms without the necessary documents / information will be rejected.
- Admission is purely on merit and the process is carried out as per the rules and regulations of the school.
- The final decision to admit a student solely rests with the School Management and no claims will be entertained in this regard.
- Admission will be confirmed only after the completion of all admission formalities or the submission of required documents and payment of all applicable fees as required
